Privacy

The short version

This site sets no cookies, loads nothing from other companies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts. The simulators, the quiz and the expedition game run entirely in your browser; what you enter stays on your device. Your inputs are stored in your browser's local storage so you can return to a result, and you can clear them at any time.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted in the European Union. When you visit, the web server processes the IP address, date and time, the requested page, the referring page and the browser identifier in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure (Article 6 (1) f GDPR). Log entries are deleted after a short retention period.

Contact form and subscription

If you write to us or subscribe to the update, we process the data you enter (name, e-mail address, message) to answer your request or to send the update (Article 6 (1) b and a GDPR). The data is sent by e-mail to our editorial inbox and stored for as long as the request requires, or until you unsubscribe. Every update contains an unsubscribe link, and a short e-mail to us does the same.

Reader polls

The reader polls store a vote against a pseudonym derived from your IP address and the current month. The address itself is not stored. The purpose is to count one vote per reader (Article 6 (1) f GDPR).

Sharing

The share links open the respective network in a new tab only when you click them. No scripts from those networks are loaded on this site. Share images are drawn in your browser and leave your device only when you choose to send them.

Your rights

You have the right to information about your personal data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, write to info@tausim.com and we will answer promptly.
