Some announcements are best read with a map open. Regent Seven Seas Cruises has published its 2028-2029 Voyage Collection, and the map is a large one: 238 sailings, three Grand Voyages, a 150-night World Cruise and itineraries through Africa and Arabia, Alaska, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Canada and New England, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, South America and the South Pacific. Reservations opened on 27 May 2026.

For a portal that cares about where a ship actually goes, three first-time deployments stand out.

Alaska, Africa and a new ship in the fall

Seven Seas Splendor will sail in Alaska for the first time: 16 new seven-night voyages calling at ports such as Icy Strait Point, Skagway and Juneau, with up to 50 included shore excursions on each sailing. Seven Seas Explorer goes to Africa and Arabia for the first time in spring 2029, on three voyages of 14 to 23 nights with three overnight calls and a roundtrip from Cape Town. Its ports include Abidjan in Ivory Coast, Walvis Bay in Namibia, São Tomé and Luanda in Angola. Walvis Bay sits on the Atlantic edge of the Namib, the desert behind our Sossusvlei and Deadvlei page.

The third debut is the newest ship herself. Seven Seas Prestige, set for delivery in late 2026, makes her Canada and New England debut in the fall of 2028 with five 11-night itineraries timed for the foliage. Regent says she is 40 percent larger than its previous ships while carrying only 10 percent more guests. Among the four transoceanic crossings of the season is her voyage from London (Southampton) to Montreal, and these crossings offer up to ten sea days.

Where it gets cold, and where it gets long

Seven Seas Mariner carries the expedition end of the collection. In South America she sails three voyages of 8 to 25 nights, among them a voyage along the Amazon River and one to the Antarctic Peninsula. In 2029 she also sails the World Cruise, Eras of Exploration: 150 nights that follow the great arcs of human discovery, along the Amazon, south to Antarctica, on Polynesian routes across the South Pacific, through Australia and Southeast Asia, across the Indian Ocean to India, Arabia and the Nile, and through the Mediterranean to Rome.

The Grand Voyages run from 61 to 101 nights on Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Mariner: three itineraries on four continents with 14 overnight stays in Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand and Europe. In the South Pacific, four voyages of 18 to 21 nights include overnights in French Polynesia and reach Hanga Roa on Easter Island and Papeete on Tahiti. Down under, two voyages cruise the fjords of Doubtful, Dusky and Milford Sounds in New Zealand.

“Each sailing is designed to offer the perfect balance of immersive exploration and an unrivaled onboard experience.”

New ports and a quiet winter

Three ports are new to the line: Dundee in Scotland, Oulu in Finland and Šibenik in Croatia. Across the collection there are 80 overnight stays, from Bordeaux to Copenhagen and Tokyo. Seven Seas Voyager spends her first quiet Mediterranean winter season from November 2028, Northern Europe gets 33 itineraries of nine to 14 nights from the Icelandic and Norwegian fjords to France and the United Kingdom, and Seven Seas Splendor sails 24 voyages in Asia, six of them roundtrip from Tokyo. Nine holiday voyages cover Asia, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the South Pacific.

The fares are all-inclusive in the Regent sense: unlimited shore excursions in every port, specialty restaurants, fine wines and premium spirits, unlimited internet, valet laundry, pre-paid gratuities and, from Concierge Suites upwards, a hotel night before the cruise.

Pick the month first

A collection this broad is really a question about months. Alaska, the fjords and the Antarctic Peninsula each have a short season, and at those latitudes the length of the day swings hard from one month to the next. The Daylight Simulator answers the first question for any port and any date, and the Antarctic Peninsula page carries the climate month by month.
