The Firewalker
You want the ground to move and the sky to be on fire.
Volcanoes, deserts at dusk, the lava lake at midnight. You travel for intensity and you are good at heat, discomfort and the decision to go anyway.
The Firewalker is drawn to places that publish their own danger and reads the alert level like a weather forecast. You are comfortable sleeping on a mattress by a crater, you drink water before you are thirsty, and you have never once said a place was too hot. Your risk is confidence: the line the guide draws is the line, and the plume moves faster than pride.
